Fidelis Corporation in Deerfield, IL is seeking experienced Sr. Applications Developers to develop, create and improve custom web applications and database programming for clients. Individuals will work independently and will assist project managers in coordinating and carrying out the development and implementation of new and improved applications.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Interacting with management and business analysts to determine system requirements Performing JAVA/J2EE web based software development for new applications and enhancements to existing applications. Programming custom SQL queries and updating Oracle database software, including SQL Server for any compliance data issues raised by the Business Team. Evaluating and performing defect analysis and resolution using debugging tools for the Production Support Issues raised by the business users and customers. Migrating legacy applications by using new technologies. Supporting the Quality Assurance team in functional, integration and regression testing for all the patches from the upstream systems. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any field) or any related Information Technology concentration or field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related positions involving software application development. Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable knowledge, proficiency, skill and experience with the following: 1. Java Programming languages including: Java, J2EE, JavaScript. 2. XML or UML. 3. Servlets. 4. Struts. 5. SQL Server. 6. 6. Log4j and JAAS.
